Saving CeeCee Honeycutt Read-Along Day Ten

Read-Along Day 10:   Chapters 19-20 pg.  198-216

We've finished our second full week of reading!  Congratulations!  If you have fallen behind, not to worry, you have the weekend to catch up with us.  Next week will be our last week of the read-along.  We should all finish the book on October 19th, which coincidentally is the same date the author comes to town!  Don't forget to get your tickets for the author visit.  You can pick them up at any KHCPL location or at the Greentown Public Library.  This looks like it will be a great event so don't miss out.  (Scroll to the bottom of this post for all the details regarding our author visit.)

Discussion Starters:

  1. When CeeCee learns that the police are looking for Lucas Slade, she is beside herself. Have you ever had to hold on to a serious secret?
  2. Like Oletta, are you surprised that CeeCee would plot revenge on Miz Hobbs?
  3. Are you surprised at the punishment CeeCee receives?
  4. CeeCee and Oletta are relieved when they hear about Lucas. Did the Black Boomerang of Karma get Lucas Slade?

How the Read-Along Works

Each day we will read a section of the book Saving CeeCee Honeycutt by Beth Hoffman together. After reading each section, please feel free to comment, and add your thoughts about the book. The more input, the better this works! Comment as little or as much as you want, and feel free to stray from the discussion starters if you have something else about the book you really want to discuss. Most importantly, have fun as we read this book together!
